I am an applied microeconomist with an emphasis in education. In my work, I harness both historical archives and social media data to bring light to how education, labor market outcomes and attitudes shift after violence shocks and exposure to media.
My job market paper is titled “Career effects of violent shocks: Evidence from mass shootings in colleges and universities”. It explores the effects of mass shootings in colleges and universities on exposed students, harnessing Linkedin data. (Link)
I am a PhD candidate at Brown University, and I am on the 2026-2027 job market.

Before my PhD, I co-wrote a book on growth theory, and worked in projects related to Colombian local tax policy, the effects of COVID-19, drug policy, energy markets and gender equality in economics.
