I am an economist studying culture, institutions and education from a historical perspective. Currently, I focus on harnessing archives in low-data settings to bring a new perspective into how these factors shape structural transformation.

I am a fourth-year PhD student at Brown University.

Starting September 2023, I organize the Growth Lab @ Brown Economics, a seminar series on growth, comparative development, culture and religion. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Before my PhD, I co-wrote a book on growth theory, and worked in projects related to Colombian local tax policy, the effects of COVID-19, drug policy, energy markets and gender equality in economics.
